Currently, the accounting of the City of Luxembourg is held in the IT software package "SAP R / 3", which has been deployed during the year 2003. Different evolutionary maintenance projects such as the development of the budget, the follow-up of Cash, the dematerialization of expenses, order management and inventory, or the management of the maintenance of the buildings have been made between 2004 and 2020. The current application, relaxing partly on older generation software components. Move more responsive needs or has reached its limits for implementing new features or optimizing existing features. In addition the stop of SAP ECC maintenance provided by SAP for late 2027 encourages migrating the current "SAP R / 3" solution to the new "S / 4Hhana" version.
