Description:
Following the instructions issued by the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, the increase in the capacity of the railway network and the desire to improve its safety, the Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois [CFL] plans to remove the NO13 level crossing[P.K. 20,724] from the Luxembourg-Troisvierges line to Dommeldange with the objectives of: - abolishing the crossing of road and rail traffic, - maintaining the crossing of the tracks by pedestrians, cyclists and people with reduced mobility (PRM), - to increase the quality ofneighborhood life by reducing road traffic, - increasing safety on the rail network. This contract therefore provides for the construction of a new underground accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and PRMs including two ramps, two staircases and two elevators on either side of the tracks.shod. The construction of a temporary footbridge, necessary to divert the national cycle path NO1 during the aforementioned works, is also included in this project.
