Description : The objective of ASCI is to enable up to ten secondary cities in four Sub-Saharan African countries to better access finance for their investment needs. Secondary cities are chosen as the focus of this TA because they generally have high needs coupled with lower capacities and donor-funded programmes tend to focus on capital or larger cities. The cities and countries will be chosen as part of the first part of the TA and the selection of cities is likely to follow a participatory process that will also involve the central governments and other relevant stakeholders. The TA is not sector-specific and will support a number of sectors in line with the key principles outlined in the terms of reference.
